  1. The Page Setup Dialog lets you control the layout of your document for printing.

  3. In this dialog, you may select the paper size, page orientation, and necessary printer effects.  You may also type in a reduction or enlargement to use.  Click OK to confirm your choices.

  5. Reduce or Enlarge: Select the reduction or enlargement size you want by entering a number from 25% to 400%.

Envelope: if you select ‚ÄúEnvelope‚Äù, the printer's ready light will blink and an alert message will appear on the Macintosh screen, prompting you to insert an envelope.  Insert the envelope, print side down, into the envelope guides in the OUT tray.  Push the select key on the printer keypad to allow the printer to begin printing.  The alert message will automatically go away.

  9. Font Substitution: This printer effect lets you substitute high-quality printer fonts for certain screen fonts, as shown:

  11.     Screen Font        Printer Font
  12.     New York    -->    CS Times
  13.     Geneva        -->    CS Triumvirate
  14.     Monaco        -->    CS Courier

  16. Use High-Quality Printer Fonts: This printer effect allows the screen fonts to be substituted with an equivalent high-quality printer font.  For example, the Times screen font will be replaced by CS Times on the printed page.

  18. Precision Bitmaps: This printer effect lets you eliminate the minor distortion which may appear in printed bitmap images.  When ‚ÄúPrecision Bitmaps‚Äù is on, the size of the entire page is reduced by 4%.
